About the Role
You’ll be working closely with the Local Sales team in Tamworth to manage and grow a key portfolio. Driving new revenue growth for The Northern Daily Leader , you will provide tailored advertising solutions to local businesses, helping them effectively reach our regional audience. This is a hands-on role that offers both independence in the field and collaboration with the broader team, providing space to grow your skills and career.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage and grow existing accounts to consistently hit weekly, monthly, and quarterly print and digital revenue targets.
- Prospect for new business via networking, cold calling, and building relationships with local decision-makers.
- Develop and present strategic, persuasive marketing proposals tailored directly to customer needs and objectives.
- Consult with clients regularly to evaluate their marketing strategies and identify cross-sell opportunities across the ACM network.
- Represent the masthead professionally by actively engaging with local business groups and community events.
What You’ll Bring
- Essential:
A minimum of 3-5 years of face-to-face sales experience with a proven track record of managing accounts and closing deals.
- Essential: Strong strategic marketing ability and the confidence to negotiate and present comprehensive solutions.
- Essential: A self-driven approach with excellent organisational skills, plus a current valid driver’s license and well-maintained vehicle.
- Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in business or marketing, CRM experience, and a strong base of local industry contacts.
