The Havelock Place in Canterbury is urgently looking for experienced Sri Lankan cooks/chefs to join our kitchen team.
We are looking to fill one full time position or two part-time positions.
We’re looking for candidates who:
- Have experience preparing authentic Sri Lankan dishes and curries.
- Can prepare breakfast and brunch menu items, including eggs, toast, burgers and other café-style dishes. Our current menu can be viewed here: https://thehavelockplace.com.au/menu/
- Understand traditional Sri Lankan flavours, spices and cooking techniques
- Can work efficiently in a busy commercial kitchen
- Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene and consistency
- Are reliable and work well as part of a team
Availability: Ideally available Wednesday to Sunday, particularly for brunch/dinner shifts.
Students and candidates currently on student visas are welcome to apply for the part-time positions, subject to their applicable work rights.
