About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Handyman to join our growing property maintenance business on a casual contractor basis.

This is a fully mobile, onsite role. Our office is not the primary workplace — you will spend your working days travelling to properties throughout Melbourne and completing maintenance and repair work onsite.

The role is suited to someone who is confident working independently, enjoys variety and takes pride in being able to find practical solutions to different maintenance issues.

The work can range from larger repair and maintenance jobs through to smaller general maintenance tasks, including:

- Supply and installation of internal and external doors
- Door repairs and replacement of door handles, locks and hardware
- Window repairs, including window winders, handles and fittings
- Patching holes, plaster repairs and general wall repairs
- Painting and touch-up work
- Skirting boards, architraves and trim work
- Basic carpentry and timber repairs
- Cabinet and joinery repairs
- Flyscreen repairs and replacements
- General property maintenance and repairs
- Minor repairs and maintenance throughout residential properties
- Identifying issues onsite and recommending practical repair solutions

You will be travelling between properties and working across residential and commercial properties, with jobs varying from small maintenance requests through to larger projects.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Has proven experience as a Handyman or in a similar hands-on trade role




- Can confidently use common hand and power tools
- Can complete jobs independently and to a high standard
- Has strong practical problem-solving skills
- Takes pride in their workmanship and attention to detail
- Is reliable, professional and comfortable working in occupied properties
- Can communicate clearly with our team and report back on completed works
- Is comfortable travelling between job locations throughout Melbourne
- Has a current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle suitable for carrying tools and materials
- Has a practical “work it out and get it done” attitude

You don’t need to be an expert in every type of repair. What’s key is that you have solid hands-on experience, good practical knowledge and the confidence to tackle a variety of maintenance jobs.

Training and guidance will be provided on our systems, processes and the types of work we undertake.

About the Work

The position will initially be offered at approximately 1–2 days per week, with the opportunity for additional work as our business continues to grow.

You will generally be working independently and travelling directly between job locations. Depending on the size or complexity of a job, you may also work alongside another technician.
