Consultant Psychiatrist – Private Practice

Balwyn North, Melbourne | Up to 80% of Billings | From 1 Day/Week | In-Person + Telehealth

Pre-Emptive Healthcare is looking for an additional Consultant Psychiatrist to join our established multidisciplinary private practice in Balwyn North.

This may suit a psychiatrist who would like to add one private consulting day to their existing work without having to establish their own rooms, referral pathways, administration or practice systems.

We already have an active psychiatry service, established referral relationships and ongoing referral demand.

One regular consulting day per week is very welcome, with no expectation of a larger commitment.

Our current referral demand includes ADHD, autism, anxiety and mood disorders, trauma and PTSD, eating disorders, diagnostic assessment and medication management.





You determine the referrals you accept and the areas of practice you wish to develop.

An established multidisciplinary practice

You’ll work alongside psychologists, clinical psychologists, psychiatry and an on-site dietitian, providing opportunities for internal referral and coordinated care where clinically appropriate.

This opportunity may particularly suit someone currently working in a hospital, public mental health service or another private setting who is considering adding private practice to their week.

About you

You’ll need:

- FRANZCP
- Specialist registration with AHPRA
- Eligibility for a Medicare provider number
- Appropriate professional indemnity insurance
