We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced MRI Radiographer to step into an Acting MRI Supervisor role and lead our dedicated MRI team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MRI Radiographer looking to take the next step in their career and develop their leadership skills. Working closely with the broader imaging team and radiologists, you will support the delivery of high-quality MRI services while providing day-to-day leadership, guidance and clinical support to the team.
About the Opportunity
This position is being offered initially as an Acting MRI Supervisor opportunity to cover a 12-month period initially. It provides an opportunity for an experienced MRI Radiographer to step into a leadership role and support the day-to-day operation of the MRI service. While the initial arrangement is to provide a 12 month cover, there are ongoing discussions regarding the future structure of the role, with the potential for the position to continue beyond the maternity leave period. Any ongoing or permanent arrangement will be subject to organisational requirements and discussions during the initial period.
This makes the role a outstanding opportunity for an experienced MRI Radiographer who is interested in developing their leadership skills and potentially progressing into an ongoing supervisory position.

What You’ll Bring to the Role
- Proven experience as an MRI Radiographer, with strong clinical knowledge and confidence working independently.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is desirable, or a demonstrated interest in progressing into a leadership role.
- Siemens MRI experience is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to perform CT and General X-ray examinations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support, guide and develop team members.
- Ability to coordinate day-to-day MRI operations and maintain high standards of clinical practice, patient care and safety.
- A strong understanding of WHS requirements and relevant MRI safety practices.
- University qualifications in Medical Imaging Technology, with current AHPRA registration and a radiation licence.
- Current vaccinations, including influenza, as required.
- A valid driver's licence.
About the Role
As Acting MRI Supervisor, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the MRI service. You will work closely with the team to ensure efficient workflow, high-quality imaging, patient safety and compliance with clinical and operational standards. This role is well suited to an experienced MRI Radiographer who is ready to take on additional responsibility and contribute to the leadership and continued development of the MRI service.
