About The Role The Brand and Creative Lead position leads the department's integrated creative function, providing strategic brand and creative direction that supports the department to deliver on its vision.
The position works within a broader team that provides communications, media and online services for the department and its schools, preschools and services across South Australia. As the department's senior creative authority, the role owns the brand framework and provides advice, tools and standards to corporate areas, schools and preschools alike — requiring a high level of collaboration, responsiveness, flexibility, resilience and customer-focused service that responds to a diverse audience and constantly changing priorities.
Working within a fast-paced and politically sensitive environment, the position leads a multidisciplinary creative team and exercises significant autonomy in determining creative priorities across competing demands — balancing strategic importance, audience needs, reputational considerations, capacity and public value — while maintaining a strong focus on continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Essential: Nil
Desirable: A tertiary qualification in graphic design, multimedia, visual art or related discipline.
Special conditions The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
ASO7 $116,089 - $125,490 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
