About the department The Department of the House of Representatives provides services to support the productive conduct of the House of Representatives, its committees and certain joint committees, and also provides a range of services and facilities for Members of Parliament in Parliament House. The department also promotes the work of the House in the community and supports the conduct of the Parliament’s international and regional relations.

About the section The Information Management Office (IMO) is part of the Office of the Clerk Assistant (Procedure). The section supports and enables the work of the House of Representatives, its committees, and the department by providing a range of information services and content to internal and external stakeholders.

About the role

Reporting to the Director, Engagement and Content, the Assistant Director, Content leads the delivery of information services and business operations for the section, including having oversight of the intranet, website, print room, publications, assets, governance, compliance and administrative functions. The position provides strategic advice, drives continuous improvement and ensures services and resources support the achievement of departmental objectives.

Duties

1. Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of information services, including the intranet, website, print room, publications and corporate templates.
2. Oversee the management, maintenance and lifecycle of section assets,



equipment and physical collections.
3. Support compliance, governance and risk management activities relating to privacy, information security, copyright and program administration.
4. Coordinate business operations including records management, procurement, budgeting, contract administration and travel arrangements.
5. Undertake other duties and projects as directed, consistent with the classification and capabilities of the role.

Selection criteria The successful candidate will demonstrate:

1. Demonstrated ability to lead information services and business operations in a complex environment.
2. Sound knowledge of governance, compliance and risk management frameworks.
3. Experience managing resources, assets, budgets and contracts.
4. Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage change processes within teams.
5. Experience with SharePoint, Sitecore and Microsoft 365 would be advantageous.
