CloudMarc is seeking an Automation Capability Lead to strengthen test automation capability, establish engineering standards and support teams delivering quality software across complex enterprise environments.
This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering. You’ll guide automation strategy, build reusable frameworks and help teams improve test coverage, reliability and delivery efficiency.
What you’ll do
- Define and drive the test automation strategy, standards and roadmap.
- Design and improve automation frameworks across web, API and integration testing.
- Assess existing automation suites and prioritise improvements.
- Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentor quality engineers through technical coaching, code reviews and practical guidance.
- Work with delivery, development and business stakeholders to align automation with project needs.
- Establish meaningful measures of automation effectiveness, coverage and reliability.
- Evaluate tools and emerging approaches, including AI-assisted testing where appropriate.
What you’ll bring
- Solid experience in quality engineering and test automation within enterprise environments.
- Proven experience leading automation capability across teams or projects.
- Hands-on programming skills and experience building maintainable automation frameworks.
- Experience with modern automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
- Strong API and integration testing experience.
- A solid understanding of CI/CD, version control and engineering best practices.
- The ability to troubleshoot complex failures and improve test reliability.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and mentoring skills.
