Extensive food and beverage facilities include the award-winning Newmarket Room Restaurant, the 1867 Lounge Bar, and the Chiltern Roof Top Bar with sweeping views, all focused on delivering memorable moments for guests.
Role Description we are looking for a couple of reliable Casual Chefs to join our awesome kitchen team at The William Inglis Hotel - MGallery Collection .You will support the daily kitchen operations across the hotel’s restaurants, bars, and event spaces. Casual positions for qualified Chefs , on-site role based in Sydney, NSW.
Responsibilities include preparing and cooking menu items to a high standard, assisting with menu development and specials, and ensuring consistent presentation and portion control. The role also involves maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, supporting stock control and ordering,
and collaborating with the wider food and beverage team to deliver exceptional guest experiences during à la carte service, banquets, and special events.
These Casual roles could turn into Full time positions for the right candidates.
Qualifications
- Formal culinary training or relevant commercial kitchen experience, preferably within hotel or high-volume restaurant environments.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and modern presentation styles, with a commitment to quality and consistency.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations, and safe work practices, with certification in food handling or equivalent considered an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, including flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Good communication skills and a professional, guest-focused approach when interacting with colleagues and other departments.
- Experience with banqueting, events, or multi-outlet operations is highly regarded.
- Sense of pride for creating memorable moments for our guests and going over and above for them.
- A great sense of humour for kitchen banter and wanting to be part of a terrific fun team.
- Current Valid Eligibility to work in Australia and availability for on-site work at Warwick Farm, NSW
