Role Description Contractor, on-site Pressure Welder role is based in Lithgow, NSW.
The Pressure
Welder will carry out high-quality welding and fabrication on pressure components and associated equipment, following engineering drawings, specifications, and welding procedures. Daily tasks include setting up welding equipment, preparing and positioning materials, performing various welding processes, and inspecting welds to meet safety, quality,
and compliance standards. The role involves collaborating with supervisors and technical teams, maintaining tools and work areas, and adhering to UGL’s health, safety, and environmental requirements.
The Pressure
Welder may also assist with troubleshooting, repairs, and continuous improvement activities on site.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in TIG with boiler tube experience.
- Candidates experienced in TIG/Stick with temper beads experience highly regarded.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Materials relevant to pressure equipment, such as carbon steels, stainless steels, and alloys, and their behavior under heat and pressure.
- Recognized trade qualification as a Welder or equivalent, with relevant pressure welding certifications and tickets.
- Demonstrated experience working to welding procedures, industry standards, and safety regulations in heavy industry or similar environments.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork,
- Current right to work in Australia; additional high-risk work licenses or confined space
