Support Worker – Armadale, WA (SIL & Community Access)
We are currently seeking asuitably qualified and experienced Support Workerto deliver high-quality, person-centred support to a participant based inArmadale, Western Australia.
This position involves providing2:1 support within a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environmentand2:1 support within the community, ensuring the participant’s safety, wellbeing, and active engagement in daily and social activities.
The participant presents withcomplex behaviours, and therefore this role requires an individual withdemonstrated experience and confidence in managing and supporting complex needs, including the application of behaviour support strategies in accordance with established plans.
- Deliver individualised2:1 supportin a SIL setting
- Provide structured2:1 community access support
- Assist with activities of daily living, skill-building, and routine development
- Implement and adhere toPositive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans
- Promote independence while maintaining a safe and supportive environment
- Accurately record progress notes and incident reports in line with organisational and NDIS requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours (essential)
- Strong understanding of NDIS principles and person-centred approaches
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and skilled in challenging situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Mandatory Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Valid National Police Clearance
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid and CPR Certification (current)
- Valid Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Proof of working rights in Australia
- Experience working within a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support frameworks
- Relevant qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or a related field
