Great distribution starts with accurate inventory.
We’re looking for an experienced DC Inventory Specialist to join R.M.Williams the support the accurate management, movement and availability of stock across our Distribution Centre operation.
You’ll work at the centre of inventory, systems, replenishment and warehouse operations, helping our teams keep stock flowing efficiently and accurately to support customer orders and operational demand. Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager, you’ll maintain accurate inventory records, coordinate replenishment activity and support the smooth movement of stock across bulk storage, operational locations and the automated picking grid. Working closely with Distribution Centre leaders, warehouse operations, fulfilment and systems teams, you’ll use inventory data and replenishment reports to investigate variances, improve stock accuracy and support productivity and operational performance.
This is a hands-on inventory role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with systems and data, and collaborating across a warehouse or distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records across the Distribution Centre, including M3 ERP and related business systems
- Coordinate replenishment between bulk storage, distribution centres and operational locations to support product availability, stock flow and order fulfilment
- Review and action replenishment,
inventory and operational reports, using data to support service levels and operational requirements
- Investigate stock variances, identify root causes and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy
- Develop and improve reporting tools to provide actionable insights on inventory trends, risks and improvement opportunities
Experience / Technical Requirements
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, distribution centre operations or supply chain
- Strong understanding of stock control, replenishment, stocktakes, cycle counts and inventory investigations
- Confident using WMS, ERP or similar business systems; experience with M3 ERP would be highly regarded
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to analyse inventory data and identify practical actions
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability and communication skills
- A collaborative, continuous improvement mindset with a focus on improving accuracy, efficiency and stock flow
