Join the Benchmark in Mining Engineering
At Go Engineering, we don't just deliver mining engineering services — we set the benchmark for how it should be done.
At the core of our business is a simple standard:
Quality is our PRIOrity. Five values. One standard.
Built on Quality First, Professional Growth, Respect, Integrity, and Ownership, these values drive how we work, whom we hire, and the results we deliver on-site.
Based in Western Australia, Go Engineering operates across two complementary streams — a Perth-based consulting team delivering study and technical support, and a Contracting Division providing high-quality, site-based engineering support to mining operations across the resources sector.
Our Contracting Division focuses on placing experienced engineers directly into client operations, supporting open-pit and underground mining through FIFO and site-based deployments across production engineering, mine planning, drill and blast, statutory coverage, mine start-ups, and operational improvement.
About the Role
We are looking for experienced Drill & Blast Engineers to join our Contracting Division in full-time, permanent positions.
As a Drill & Blast Engineer (FIFO / site-based), you will be deployed directly to operating mine sites across Western Australia, providing hands-on drill and blast engineering support within underground mining operations.
You will play a key role in:
- Optimising drill and blast performance
- Supporting production targets
- Improving fragmentation outcomes
- Managing blast designs and execution
- Driving operational improvements
- Providing trusted technical advice to site leadership
This is a high-impact operational role suited to engineers who thrive in site environments and can deliver value from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver drill and blast engineering support to client operations.
- Develop and review drill patterns, blast designs, firing plans, and execution strategies.
- Monitor blast performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyse fragmentation, dilution, overbreak, underbreak,
vibration, and productivity outcomes.
- Work closely with operations, geology, planning, and technical services teams.
- Support short and medium-term production planning activities.
- Assist with contractor management and blast execution oversight.
- Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, and operational requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives relating to blasting efficiency and mine productivity.
- Provide technical recommendations and reports to site leadership teams.
Quality is our PRIOrity.
