Ready to take your heavy vehicle experience beyond the driver’s seat? We are seeking an experienced heavy vehicle professional to join our team as a Driver Trainer. This is an opportunity to use your industry experience to develop and support our drivers through practical training, coaching and competency assessment, while strengthening safe driving practices across our transport operations.

As Driver

Trainer, you will support drivers involved in the transportation of dangerous goods, industrial gases, LPG and cryogenic products, combining hands-on field coaching with formal training and assessment.

What You Will Enjoy Doing

- Deliver practical and classroom-based training for new and existing drivers
- Conduct competency assessments across bulk tanker, cylinder and ISO operations
- Coach and mentor drivers to strengthen capability and safe driving practices
- Conduct in-cab observations, route assessments and field safety audits
- Deliver Dangerous Goods awareness, defensive driving and vehicle risk management training
- Support driver competency reassessments and ongoing development
- Review driver performance and provide practical coaching following driving events, incidents or non-conformances
- Contribute to driver training materials, competency assessments, SOPs and toolbox talks
- Support transport safety, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives

What Makes You Excellent

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122 or equivalent
- Current Multi Combination (MC) Licence
- Current Dangerous Goods Driver Licence
- Dangerous Goods experience across LPG and/or cryogenic tankers
- Minimum 5 years' heavy vehicle driving experience
- Experience delivering driver training and competency assessments




- Knowledge of Heavy Vehicle National Law, Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management and Dangerous Goods requirements
- Strong understanding of defensive driving and safe vehicle operations
- Ability to coach, mentor and communicate effectively in a practical operational environment
