Role Description This is a full-time, Estimator role based in St. Peters, Sydney, NSW. The Estimator will prepare detailed estimates for remedial construction projects, including reviewing drawings, specifications, and site conditions to develop accurate project estimates and access methodologies.
Day-to-day tasks include performing quantity take-offs, obtaining and analyzing subcontractor and supplier quotes, and preparing budgets and tenders. The role also involves collaborating closely with project managers and site teams,
assisting with tender submissions, and updating cost data to support pricing decisions. The Estimator will communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and clients to clarify project requirements, track cost changes, and contribute to the successful delivery of repair and rehabilitation projects.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Construction Estimating skills, including experience with remedial or refurbishment projects.
- Candidates should have good knowledge of all access types and equipment and be able to arrive at a well structured and workable access plan for tenders.
- Candidates should possess Quantity Take-offs skills, with the ability to interpret drawings and specifications accurately.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaborating with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline are beneficial but hands on relevant experience moreso.
- Experience in building repair, rehabilitation, or structural remediation is highly regarded.
- Proficiency with estimating software (Offsider) and MS Excel, along with strong attention to detail and analytical abilities, is preferred.
- Familiarity with industry standards, building codes, and WHS requirements is advantageous.
