About The Opportunity
As Service Manager of our Toowoomba Aged Care service, you will lead our 94-bed residential community through a period of growth, stability and positive cultural change.
This is a people leadership role at its core. You'll be responsible for building a highly engaged workforce, developing leadership capability across your team and creating an environment where employees feel valued, supported and empowered to deliver exceptional experiences for residents and their families.
Working closely with your Regional Manager and supported by specialist teams across Governance, Quality and People & Culture, you'll have the autonomy to lead your service while drawing on the expertise and support needed to achieve sustainable outcomes.
With refurbishment and upgrades underway and the service moving towards a fully staffed roster, this is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of the service and leave a lasting impact on residents, employees and the broader community.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Lead and develop a diverse multidisciplinary team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Ensure high standards of resident care, wellbeing, safety and customer service.
- Maintain strong oversight of clinical governance, compliance, accreditation and quality outcomes.
- Monitoring operational performance and ensuring effective workforce planning, rostering and resource management.
- Partnering with specialist Governance and Quality teams to maintain regulatory and quality standards.
- Delivering sustainable operational and financial outcomes while keeping people and resident wellbeing at the centre of decision-making.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families,
employees and key community stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with your Regional Manager and specialist support teams to identify risks, develop action plans and deliver sustainable outcomes.
- Empower your leadership team to take ownership of their areas of responsibility and perform at their best.
About You You're an experienced leader who understands that exceptional resident outcomes are achieved through engaged, capable and supported teams. You are known for your ability to build meaningful relationships, create positive workplace cultures and bring people together around a shared vision.
You'll Ideally Bring
- Proven experience leading large and diverse teams in aged care, healthcare, hospitality, community services or another people-focused environment.
- A strong track record of building high-performing teams and positive workplace cultures.
- Experience coaching and developing leaders to achieve individual and team success.
- Strong change leadership skills and the ability to lead people through periods of growth and transformation.
- Sound operational and commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, workforce planning and service performance.
- The confidence to navigate complex people matters and have courageous conversations when required.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A collaborative and values-driven leadership style.
- Experience in residential aged care or a regulated service environment will be highly regarded.
Registered Nurse qualifications are welcomed but not essential for success in this role. Why join Churches of Christ? What We Offer
$142,000 + superannuation + salary packaging benefits up $18,549 p/a + relocation package of up to $5,000 (for eligible candidates relocating to Toowoomba) + employee benefits.
