No updated CV? don't let that discourage you if you believe you're world class. We Recognise candidates are so much more than a piece of paper.
About Uptick
Uptick is the all-in-one operating system for fire and security businesses. More than 1,200 fire protection businesses use it to run their whole operation: quoting, scheduling, inspections, defects, invoicing and compliance reporting, with technicians working from our mobile app in the field.
Our customers maintain the life safety systems in more than 1.6 million buildings. We operate across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, Canada and the US, with offices in Melbourne, London and Denver. In 2025 we took a strategic growth investment from PSG to accelerate in North America and keep investing in the product.
As our founder and CEO Aidan Lister puts it, "Our customers maintain the life, health and safety systems that we all live, work and play in."
Why we're hiring for this role
With AI behind our product and engineering team, we're now shipping at 30 times the rate we did last year. Our distribution hasn't kept up. It still moves at the same slow, clunky pace it always has, so our best work ships and the market never feels it. That is your job to fix.
Your missions, in order
1. Position Uptick to win in North America. This comes first. After 16 months of dedicated engineering, we've built a product foundation for North America that doesn't just keep up with our competitors there, it outclasses them.
2. Show the value of Uptick in the field. Our redesigned mobile app changes what technicians can do on site. Make the market understand why that matters.
3. Drive adoption of our AI add-ons, Inbox and AI Scheduler, across our existing customers.

Outcomes you'll own
- A narrative that lands. The market understands why our biggest releases matter, through whatever channels you think work best.
- Positioning grounded in the product. Prospects know the problems our solution solves before they walk in the door.
- Sales assets that win deals. Our team has assets that work on real calls, built by you or with the product team, and kept up to date with what's landing.
- Adoption that keeps growing. Launches land, and the always-on campaigns after them keep adoption climbing well past launch week.
- Everyone ready before we ship. Our customer base and internal teams are primed ahead of our highest-value releases.
How the role sits
You report to the Group Product Lead, not marketing, with a dotted line to Dani, our Global Marketing Manager.
We've set it up this way on purpose. Uptick is a deep product, and our customers run complex, compliance-heavy businesses. You can't tell that story well from the outside. Success in this role depends on understanding the product and understanding how our customers' businesses work, so you'll sit inside the squads and their rituals, close to what we're building and why it matters.
Career growth
This is a founding role, so the expectations are you are an expert in this field, so you'll be build the function rather than inherit it. Prove the model in North America and you'll build a team under you. As the team grows, so does the remit: deeper market analysis on what we're hearing in sales calls and what customers are really after, and owning the feedback loop that brings those insights back into the product.
