PX Wealth is a growing financial advice and wealth management business with offices in Melbourne, Australia and London, UK with ambitious plans for the future.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fractional Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join us at an exciting stage of our development and help strengthen the management and operational capability of the business as we grow.
Working closely with our Founder & CEO and existing team, you will help us:
- Strengthen our management and operating rhythm
- Improve planning, prioritisation and accountability
- Support and develop our existing team
- Help ensure our systems and processes are scalable
- Assist with resource and recruitment planning as the business grows
- Turn business priorities into practical action
About You
We are looking for someone with significant senior management experience within Australian financial advice, wealth management or a closely related financial services workplace.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across the organization. Your primary goal will be to increase our organization's productivity, efficiency, and profitability. You will advise the CEO on key operational insights as well as provide coaching to employees.
You will be practical, commercially minded and hands-on, with the ability to bring structure to a growing entrepreneurial financial advisory business without introducing unnecessary complexity.
Importantly, this isn't a traditional consulting assignment. We want someone who will become involved in the business, work alongside our team and help us implement change in order to scale.
To be considered for this role, you will need to have had leadership experience in scaling up a small-mid-sized financial advisory or other financial services business in Australia, with possible links overseas.
Working Arrangement The role will initially involve approximately one day per week, which may be structured flexibly and split across two days during the week to provide regular involvement and continuity.
The role will be office-based at our Camberwell, Victoria office.
We envisage an initial three-month engagement with the potential for an ongoing relationship as the business continues to grow.
Qualifications
- Ideally 10+ years of financial services executive/senior management experience
- Exposure working with a small-medium sized financial planning/ financial services business
- Strategic planning and business development experience
- Strong written and verbal and presentation skills
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
