Strategy Brain, Commercial Edge, Warm Heart. Sound Familiar?
Comlink Australia is growing into a group spanning aged care, disability, community services and allied health, with a not for profit and a commercial business sitting side by side. Different audiences, different goals, different brands. We need a marketing leader with the strategic range to bring them together, the commercial edge to make marketing pay its way, and the warmth that makes people want to follow.
This is not a caretaker role. As the group grows, new brands and service names will need creating, a brand architecture needs defining, and marketing needs a credible, confident voice at the executive table. That voice is yours.
What you’ll own.
- Group strategy. Set the marketing, brand and communications strategy for the group, turning the different goals of our allied health and aged care businesses into one clear plan.
- Brand architecture. Define how the group brand and each business brand relate to and strengthen each other and lead the creation of current brands and service names as we grow.
- Growth that shows up in the numbers. Campaigns that bring in referrals, clients and revenue, tracked through cost per lead, conversion and return on marketing spend.
- Trust and reputation. PR and media that build public confidence in our aged care services, and early, honest advice to the Executive on reputation risks and opportunities.
- Digital and content. Websites, social, email and paid digital across both businesses, working with the agencies and partners who help us reach the right people.
- The numbers behind it. Marketing budgets across both businesses, with monthly reporting to the Executive and, when required, the Board.
- Marketing done the right way. Work that meets the Australian Consumer Law, the Privacy Act, advertising standards, the Aged Care Quality Standards and the NDIS Practice Standards. Creative and compliant are not opposites here.
- Your people. Lead and develop a capable marketing and design team.
A Brand & Marketing Lead runs day to day delivery, so your time goes where it counts: direction, influence and growing great people.
Skills get you shortlisted. Your style gets you hired.
- We care as much about how you lead as what you know. You’ll probably be the person who:
- Sees the glass half full and can show the working. Optimism backed by data is our favourite kind.
- Has a point of view and the confidence to share it, plus the humility to back a better idea when it comes from someone else.
- Brings lightness and a good laugh to a busy week and knows exactly when the moment calls for serious.
- Leads by listening first, backs the team’s judgement and celebrates other people’s wins louder than their own.
- Doesn’t wait to be asked. You spot what needs doing and you step up.
- Owns the outcome. You follow through, and when something misses the mark, you’re the first to say so.
- Is energised, not unsettled, by change. New brands, new services and the occasional acquisition are simply more material to work with.
- Can hold a room of senior leaders and translate marketing into the business outcomes they care about.
What you’ll bring.
- At least eight years in senior marketing roles, including three or more at General Manager, Head of Marketing or equivalent level, across more than one brand or business unit.
- Experience building marketing strategy for both a commercial business and a not for profit or mission driven organisation.
- A track record in brand strategy, multi brand management and driving real business growth.
- Strong digital capability across SEO and SEM,
social media, CRM, marketing automation, analytics and reporting.
- Experience managing marketing budgets and reporting at Executive or Board level.
- A sound understanding of the rules that apply to healthcare and community services marketing.
- A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field. Postgraduate study is a plus.
Aged care experience will be highly regarded, as will an appreciation of service delivery for diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, veterans, people with disability, people living with mental illness, LGBTI+ communities and people experiencing homelessness. NDIS Worker Screening is required, and influenza vaccination is recommended. What’s in it for you.
Genuine influence. You’ll report to the 'Group Executive, Operations & Deputy CEO' and will help shape how a growing group presents itself to the world. There is always another launch, another audience or another brand around the corner. And if you’re wondering whether there will be another acquisition somewhere down the track… let’s just say we like keeping things interesting.
- Paid birthday leave
- Paid parental leave for eligible employees
- Matched superannuation contributions up to 1%
- Employee Assistance Program
- Colleagues who care deeply about each other and the people we serve
No smoke. No mirrors. Just a big brief and the room to make it brilliant.
Now you see the brief.
Now you see the opportunity.
Now you see yourself here.
