- Full time (1 FTE) appointment on a tenurable basis.
- Base salary range: Level 6, $99,040.00 – $104,669.00 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About The Area The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Indigenous (DVCI) provides leadership across UWA's Indigenous Portfolio, driving initiatives that support Indigenous student success, Indigenous workforce development, teaching, research and community engagement. Working in partnership across the University, the Indigenous Portfolio is committed to empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, fostering future leaders, and advancing Indigenous knowledges. The Indigenous Students Centre plays a vital role in supporting current Indigenous students through culturally safe services, programs and opportunities that enhance academic achievement, wellbeing, engagement and a strong sense of belonging throughout the student lifecycle.

About The Opportunity

- Provide culturally appropriate support, advice, pastoral care and academic assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, helping them navigate university life and achieve their educational goals.
- Coordinate and deliver student engagement programs, events, scholarship support, tutoring initiatives and activities that strengthen student success, retention, wellbeing and belonging.
- Build strong relationships with students, community organisations and internal stakeholders while contributing to outreach, work-integrated learning opportunities, reporting, administration and continuous service improvement.





About You

- Demonstrated experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, with a strong understanding of Indigenous student success, engagement and higher education pathways.
- Proven ability to work respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal peoples, communities and organisations, supported by a strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and perspectives.
- Highly developed communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders and provide professional, student-centred support.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate programs and meet deadlines.
- Relevant degree qualification and subsequent experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, training and specialist expertise.

A current WA Working with Children Check, and “C” class driver’s licence will be required by the successful applicant.
