About the Role
We are looking for a Learning Instructional Designer (12-month contract role) to join our People & Culture team. Our team is based across multiple locations, and we are flexible with where this role can be based. You will be working closely with the Organisational Development Manager, subject matter experts and business leaders, you will design and develop engaging learning content and solutions that support capability development across UAA Group.
This role will contribute to a broad range of learning initiatives, including onboarding, compliance training, leadership development, organisational change, technology uplift and role-based capability programs. You will also support the coordination of learning activities, systems and resources to help ensure learning is delivered consistently and effectively across the Group.
What You Will Be Doing
- Partnering with leaders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and create effective and creative solutions
- Designing and developing engaging learning content, including eLearning, video, workshops and supporting resources
- Supporting onboarding, compliance, leadership and capability development initiatives
- Developing learning solutions that support organisational change and business improvement
- Coordinating learning programs,
training activities and Learning Management System (LMS) administration
- Evaluating and continuously improving learning content, resources and learner outcomes
About You
You are a creative and organised learning professional who enjoys designing engaging learning experiences and making complex information easy to understand. You are willing to challenge the status quo to make content human-centric and engaging. You thrive in a collaborative environment, can manage multiple priorities and take pride in delivering high-quality work
You Will Bring
- Experience in instructional design, learning and development or capability development
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
- An ability to cut through complexity
- Experience creating workshops, eLearning modules and learning resources
- Excellent written communication and content development skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities
- A collaborative approach and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint and Word
Nice to Have
- Experience with LMS and eLearning authoring tools
- Knowledge of compliance training and professional development requirement
- Exposure to organisational development, culture or engagement initiatives
- Experience using AI-enabled productivity or learning tools
- Facilitation or workshop delivery experience
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a related qualification
