The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Assistant to join our Banking and Finance team in our Brisbane office. You will be supporting a growing practice, with a focus on finance transactions in the real estate, energy and natural resources financing and infrastructure sectors.
As a Legal Assistant you will display a willingness to learn and understand the practice, be proactive and have exceptional attention to detail, communication and organisational skills.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Liaising with clients and other external and internal contacts (over the phone and email, as required);
- Preparing draft legal documents and business development material;
- Diary management;
- Assisting with meeting and small event preparation;
- Managing file opening and client onboarding processes;
- Word processing and formatting (across Word, PowerPoint and Excel programs);
- Billing and assisting with the management of regular cost updates; and
- File management (including document and email filing).
Who We Are Looking For Ideally,
you will have at least 3 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant and preferably have experience in the Banking and Finance space or other commercial transactional practice areas. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and diary management skills, with a strong client service focus. You will be proficient in the Microsoft Suite (including Microsoft Teams) and have good experience with general word processing and formatting.
You will have the ability to prioritise tasks, take initiative to solve problems, have good attention to detail and a proven history of meeting deadlines.
The core office hours are 8.30am to 5pm.
