Role Description The Master Project Scheduler – Immediate Start role is a contract position based in Sydney, NSW, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows a mix of onsite and work-from-home.
The Master Project
Scheduler will develop, maintain, and optimize integrated project schedules across multiple initiatives, ensuring alignment with program timelines, milestones, and resource availability. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to define work breakdown structures, sequencing activities, tracking dependencies, and identifying risks and variances. The role will involve regular schedule reviews, updating progress,
preparing reporting dashboards, and providing schedule impact analysis to support decision-making.
The Master Project
Scheduler will also contribute to continuous improvement of scheduling standards, tools, and processes to enhance delivery predictability across the organization.
Qualifications
- Strong project scheduling expertise, including experience creating and managing master schedules, work breakdown structures, dependencies, and critical paths.
- Proficiency with scheduling and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Jira, or similar) and ability to develop clear reporting dashboards and timelines.
- Experience working in complex technology or consulting environments, ideally across multiple concurrent projects or programs.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify schedule risks, propose mitigation strategies, and support data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and business leaders.
- Solid attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.
- Relevant qualifications in project management, business, IT, or a related discipline; certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are highly regarded.
- Experience in IT consulting, digital transformation, or data-focused projects within sectors such as health insurance or real estate is an advantage.
