The Role

Golden Avenue is seeking a high-energy and guest-centric Assistant Head Sommelier to join our team. As part of the wine team, you will play a key role in delivering curated wine service through educated recommendations, correct wine service techniques, and accurate inventory tracking. This role supports the floor team by ensuring high-quality service, operational efficiency,



and execution of the venues wine and beverage program.

Skills & Experience

- Experience in wine service within a quality-driven or high-volume dining venue
- Comfortability in guiding guests through beverage conversations and pairings
- Ability to thrive in a large-scale and fast-paced environment
- Exceptional guest engagement skills fostering an energetic floor presence
- Cooperative mindset and ability to navigate the floor in consideration of the wider team
- Passion for wine, regional styles and the stories behind producers
- WSET Level 2 certification or WSET Level 3
- RSA & Food Safety Certificate required
