What You'll Be Doing As a Medical Radiation Scientist (Diagnostic Radiographer) Level 3 Grade 2, you will provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services while demonstrating advanced clinical expertise across a range of complex procedures. This role combines clinical excellence with a strong commitment to education, patient care and service improvement.
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations and procedures in accordance with professional standards, legislation and departmental policies
- Deliver exceptional patient-focused care by informing,
supporting and reassuring patients throughout their imaging journey
- Apply advanced clinical knowledge and technical expertise to manage complex imaging cases in a fast-paced environment
- Educate, mentor and support students, graduates and colleagues through coordinated teaching and training activities within your area of expertise
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise service delivery, maintain safe practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Essential Criteria
- License: NSW EPA Radiation Licence IA14
- Qualification: Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
- Registration: Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience in a minimum of two imaging modalities.
- Demonstrate a high level of competency and consistent high level of practice in area of expertise in a busy hospital environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to solve clinical situations and to develop effective solutions.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise through development of protocols, clinical reviews and delivery of in-services and presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and assist with the on-going education and training of MRS' colleagues, across modalities, including complex clinical procedures.
- To meet Grade 2 criteria, the candidate must possess a post graduate certificate in a relevant area of specialisation. For Level 3 Grade 1 applicants, please note as NOT APPLICABLE to this criteria.
