About The Role

Reporting to the General Manager - Rentals, the National Operations Manager - Rentals is responsible for overseeing and managing Adaptalift’s daily rental operations across Australia. This role works closely with the Workshop team to ensure suitable levels of equipment availability, while maintaining high levels of service delivery and communication for our customers.

This is a hands-on national leadership role where you will lead rental operations, support major account service delivery, help improve transport information flow, and coach your team to deliver consistent outcomes across multiple locations.

You will play a key role in ensuring rental enquiries are handled with urgency, records and invoicing are accurate, equipment hire and de-hire activity is well coordinated, and customers receive a high level of service from enquiry through to delivery, collection and ongoing support.

In an average week in the life of this role, you might:

- Lead the national rental operations team to respond to enquiries, coordinate hire/de-hire activity and keep customer requests moving through to completion




- Oversee rental administration processes, including equipment records, invoicing, sub-hires, COD requirements and hire/damage charge follow-up
- Work closely with workshop, service and transport teams to support equipment availability, delivery planning and a smooth end-to-end hire experience
- Support major account and project customers by ensuring enquiries, quotes, follow-ups and service expectations are managed effectively
- Coach, support and develop a geographically dispersed team through regular communication, feedback, performance management and clear accountability
- Identify process gaps, communication issues and improvement opportunities that help build more scalable, efficient rental operations

About You We’re looking for a practical, commercially minded operations leader who knows how to keep people, assets, customers and moving parts coordinated in a fast-paced environment. You may come from equipment hire, rental, transport, logistics, fleet, industrial services, construction equipment, materials handling or another operationally complex industry where service delivery, asset utilisation and customer communication are key.

To Be Successful, You Will Bring

- Experience leading operational teams in a hire, rental, transport, logistics, fleet or service-based environment
- The ability to lead,



coach and support teams across multiple locations or a geographically dispersed network
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work across sales, workshop, transport, suppliers and major customers
- A good understanding of how to balance customer outcomes, equipment availability, utilisation, cost control and operational efficiency
- A calm, solutions-focused approach when priorities shift, problems arise or customers need answers quickly
- Strong communication skills and the ability to create structure, accountability and clear follow-up across a busy operation
- Commercial awareness, sound judgement and the confidence to identify process gaps and drive improvements
