The Neale Daniher MND Clinical Network is a $40.1 million Australian Government-funded initiative led by FightMND. The Network is a nationally coordinated effort across four key areas, clinical trials, clinical care, data and workforce capability, with collaboration and sector input central to our delivery.

About the opportunity ?

We’re looking for an experienced Project Lead – Clinical Trials to lead the planning and delivery of activity that support MND clinical trial readiness and capacity within the Neale Daniher MND Clinical Network.

This is an chance to play a key role in strengthening Australia’s capacity to deliver MND clinical trials by working with clinical trial sites to improve:

- Trial readiness
- Site capability
- Collaboration
- National consistency
- Access for people living with MND in regional, rural and remote communities

You’ll translate the Network’s clinical trial objectives into practical projects that identify and address barriers and strengthen processes to deliver high-quality MND clinical trials.

A particular focus will be supporting regional access models, helping explore practical ways to improve opportunities for people living with MND outside metropolitan areas to participate in clinical trials where feasible and appropriate.

? You’ll be responsible for:

1. Translating strategic objectives and funding commitments into practical project plans, milestones and deliverables.
2. Working with clinical trial sites, Network partners and stakeholders to identify barriers to trial readiness, capability and participation.
3. Leading day-to-day project delivery, managing timelines, milestones, budgets and dependencies.
4. Coordinate internal teams, partners,



contractors and subject matter experts to deliver agreed outcomes.
5. Building strong relationships and a shared sense of purpose across participating sites and Network partners.
6. Managing project and partner agreements, including scope, deliverables, budgets and reporting requirements.
7. Leading consultation and co-design with clinicians, researchers, people living with MND, carers and lived-experience representatives.
8. Supporting collaboration, knowledge-sharing and practical problem-solving across participating sites and Network partners.
9. Monitoring progress, outcomes and key obligations, identifying and addressing risks and issues early.
10. Preparing clear project updates, briefings and reporting for program and government requirements.
11. Capturing evidence, outcomes and learnings to support continuous improvement and strengthen future delivery.

? About you

You’re an experienced project professional who combines strong project discipline with excellent stakeholder and relationship skills.

You know how to take a strategic objective, turn it into a practical plan and bring diverse people together to make it happen.

You’ll bring

- Experience leading projects or programs in health, research, clinical, service improvement, community or not-for-profit environments.
- Strong project management capability, including planning, milestone tracking, risk and issue management, budget monitoring and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to translate program objectives, funding commitments or strategic priorities into practical project plans and delivery activity.
- Experience supporting consultation, co-design, engagement and collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including clinicians, researchers, service providers, community representatives and people with lived experience.
- Experience managing service providers, partner and participant agreements against agreed scope, deliverables, budgets, reporting requirements and quality expectations.
- Strong written communication skills,



including the ability to prepare clear project updates, briefing material, reporting inputs and decision papers.
- Ability to analyse project information, identify barriers, risk/issues, and develop practical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly in a developing program environment, bringing structure to emerging work, and maintaining momentum through ambiguity.

It would be great if you also have ⭐

- Experience leading the delivery of projects, programs or initiatives within health, community, research or related environments.
- An understanding of clinical trial site operations and regulatory requirements.
- Experience bringing together and coordinating diverse stakeholders through clinical networks, communities of practice, advisory groups or other collaborative forums.
- Experience working in partnership with people with lived experience to inform priorities, decision-making and program activities.
