What You'll Be Doing

Northern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Specialist General Dentist to provide care for eligible public oral health patients across the Northern Rivers region.

Selection Criteria

- Eligible for registration with the Dental Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA) with demonstrated competence in providing dental care with a special interest in a relevant field within the clinical scope of practice requirements.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and career development in the relevant field of special interest, including evidence of participation in continuing professional development
- Demonstrated effective communication skills (written and verbal), clinical skills, judgement and expertise, teamwork, time management and problem-solving skills in a clinical setting
- Proven skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Dental Practitioner including modelling of a high standard of professional behaviour to junior dental staff
- Understanding of, and commitment to, the principles of public sector dentistry, service performance and accountability
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, education and/or mentoring junior dental staff and the dental team
- Valid unrestricted drivers’ license for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment
