The things worth being there for have a habit of happening at the wrong times. School assemblies run mid-morning. A parent's specialist appointment lands at 2pm on a Tuesday.

Most clinicians have done the maths and concluded they can't have both: a proper caseload and a life arranged around the things they actually value.

For my partner and I, it was parenting. When our children were young, we were at everything. Sports days, assemblies, the colour run. Not because we had an unusually understanding employer, we had no employer. We were both clinicians working for ourselves, and we could arrange our weeks around each other, the school, and the life we actually wanted.

Working as a sole trader is going to keep getting harder over the next few years, but the things worth being there for will stay the same. That is why this subcontracting role is built the way it is.

The offer

This is subcontract work you size to your life. Two clients or twenty - you decide, and it can change as your circumstances do.

- Your caseload. Every referral is offered, never assigned. Take the ones that fit your skills,

your area and your week.
- Your hours. No minimum hours, no billable targets, no KPIs. School holidays are yours if you want them to be.
- Your area. Work from your own home base, anywhere in Brisbane. No clinic, no office, no commute to either.
- Your admin, minimised. Our custom-built AI, Joey, cuts documentation and admin time, so a morning's work doesn't reappear at the kitchen table at 9pm.

What you earn

67-75% of billings, inclusive of super, on a tiered structure. Km reimbursement passed through in full.

Enquire and we'll send you a contractor earnings calculator so you can run your own numbers on whatever caseload size you're picturing.

What you'll need

- Occupational Therapist with general AHPRA registration
- Your own ABN and skilled indemnity insurance
- Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening clearance, or willingness to obtain
