Role Description This is a contract, hybrid Occupational Therapist role based in Victor Harbor, SA, with some work-from-home flexibility for documentation, planning, and telehealth sessions where appropriate. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing and implementing individualized therapy plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions to children and young people in clinic, school, home, and community settings. The role involves collaborating with families and caregivers to build practical strategies, providing education and resources, and maintaining clear, timely clinical documentation.

Therapist will participate in multidisciplinary discussions, contribute to service development, and ensure practice aligns with relevant professional standards and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, including assessment, treatment planning, and intervention for children and young people.
- Relevant knowledge in Pediatrics and child development to support functional, sensory, and behavioral needs.
- Solid understanding of Medicine and health-related considerations to work safely within a multidisciplinary care environment.
- Effective Communication skills for working with children, families, schools, and other health professionals.
- Recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration or eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional body.
- Experience or strong interest in paediatric practice, community-based therapy, and family-centered care.
- Ability to work independently, manage a varied caseload, and use digital tools for documentation and telehealth.
- Current Working With Children Check, police clearance, and professional indemnity insurance (or ability to obtain).
