As our People & Culture Graduate, you will build practical HR experience while providing junior operational and administrative support across the employee lifecycle.
This is a hands-on development opportunity where you will work with employees, people leaders, candidates and volunteers while learning how a contemporary People & Culture function operates. You will follow approved processes and templates, handle sensitive information carefully, and know when to refer advice or sensitive matters to an experienced People & Culture team member.
This position is offered on an 18 month fixed term basis, working 38 hours per week (full time).
Description
The People & Culture Graduate provides junior operational and administrative support across the employee lifecycle while developing practical knowledge of People & Culture. The role supports recruitment, onboarding, employee records, systems, reporting, projects and team coordination, and provides dedicated administration support to the Learning & Capability Specialist. The Graduate works under close supervision, follows approved procedures and templates, and does not provide independent employee relations, industrial relations, legal, remuneration or safeguarding advice.

Essential Criteria
- Current enrolment in, or recent completion of, a qualification in human resources, business, psychology, organisational development or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated interest in People & Culture and a commitment to learning in a professional workplace.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines.
- Transparent written and verbal communication skills and a respectful, service-oriented approach.
- Confidence using Microsoft 365 applications and the ability to learn HR, recruitment and learning systems.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately, seek guidance when unsure, and demonstrate commitment to child safety, inclusion, reconciliation and Royal Far West values.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous administration, customer service, volunteering, project or placement experience,
including exposure to coordinating events, training, records, databases or recruitment activities.
- Basic skills in Excel reporting, data checking or document formatting.
