Role Description This part-time Pharmacy Student role is an on-site position based at Chemist Warehouse in Croydon, VIC. The role involves supporting pharmacists with day-to-day dispensary operations, including preparing prescriptions under supervision, assisting with medication ordering and stock management, and maintaining accurate records.
The Pharmacy
Student will provide friendly, professional customer service, helping customers with over-the-counter inquiries and directing them to pharmacists for clinical advice when required.
Responsibilities also include adhering to pharmacy policies,
regulatory requirements, and safety standards, as well as contributing to a clean, organized, and effective work environment. The role offers the opportunity to apply university learning in a practical setting and develop skills within a leading retail pharmacy group.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice acquired through current enrollment in an accredited pharmacy degree.
- Candidates should possess skills in Pharmaceutical Care, including understanding of medication use, patient counseling under supervision, and basic drug information.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, with the ability to interact clearly and respectfully with customers, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
- Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to positive customer experiences.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include attention to detail, willingness to learn, ability to follow protocols, basic computer literacy, and availability to work a flexible part-time roster including evenings and weekends.
