FinXL is seeking an experienced Defect Manager to join our Quality Assurance Practice consulting practice, in Sydney. In this engagement, you will become a key member of our team and be deployed with an Enterprise Banking and Finance organisation on a high-profile technology-driven infrastructure transformation programme.
Responsibility /n

- /n
Own and manage the end-to-end defect management lifecycle across the programme.
/n
- /n
Establish and maintain defect governance processes, standards, and reporting frameworks.
/n
- /n
Facilitate defect triage meetings and drive timely prioritisation, assignment, and resolution of defects.
/n
- /n
Provide clear and concise defect reporting, dashboards, metrics, and executive-level status updates.
/n
- /n
Track, monitor, and communicate defect trends,
ageing, root causes, risks, and impacts.
/n
- /n
Drive accountability for defect remediation activities and elevate critical risks where required.
/n
- /n
Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and reduction of recurring defects.

Key Skills & Experience /n
/n
- /n
Extensive experience managing defects across large and complex technology transformation programmes.
/n
- /n
Experience within infrastructure, network, data centre migration, cloud, platform, or technology uplift programmes.
/n
- /n
Strong experience with defect management and test management tools such as Jira, QMetry, or equivalent.
/n
- /n
Proven ability to define and implement defect governance frameworks, KPIs, SLAs, and reporting processes.
/n
- /n
Advanced reporting and data analysis skills using Jira dashboards, Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
/n
- /n
Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility and influence across all levels of the organisation.
/n
- /n
Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
/n
