Role Description The Procurement Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairns, QLD. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing goods and services, preparing and processing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery to support maintenance and operations.

The Procurement

Officer will evaluate supplier proposals, assist with contract negotiation, and maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company policies and aviation industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring inventory levels, analyzing purchasing data, coordinating with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, and working closely with vendors to optimize cost,



quality, and reliability. The role also involves contributing to process improvements, supporting compliance with regulatory and safety requirements, and fostering robust supplier relationships.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess procurement and purchasing skills, including experience with sourcing, vendor management, and supply chain coordination.
- Candidates should possess skills in purchase orders and contract negotiation, with the ability to prepare, review, and manage procurement documentation and agreements.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, including data analysis, cost comparison, and decision-making based on quantitative and qualitative information.
- Relevant experience in aviation, logistics, engineering, or a related technical environment is beneficial.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
- High level of attention to detail, organization, and time management to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency with procurement or ERP systems and standard office software (e.g., spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools).
- A vocational qualification, diploma, or degree in business, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field is preferred.
