About We Know Video

We Know Video is an integrated creative production company based in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

We partner with brands and agencies from first idea through to final delivery, bringing creative development, production, editing, motion and emerging AI workflows together under one roof. Our work spans everything from fast-moving social content to large-scale campaigns for brands including Nike, Uber, Canva, Doritos and Google.

We’re building the most effective and skilled in-house creative production offering in Australia.

Our approach is simple: surround ourselves with talented people, look after them and create an environment where they can do the best work of their careers.

We care deeply about the work we put into the world, but we also care about how we get there. We’ve left the ego and agency politics at the door. We’re curious, collaborative and supportive—and we have a strict no-dickheads policy.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Producer to join our team and take ownership of video projects from brief through to final delivery.

This is a hands-on production role for someone who loves making things happen. You’ll work directly with clients, directors, creatives and our internal production and post-production teams to turn ideas into well-run, beautifully executed work.

You’ll be responsible for the moving parts that make a production successful: scopes, budgets, schedules, crews, locations, logistics, client communication, post-production and delivery.

You don't need to be the person coming up with the big creative idea, but you do need strong creative judgement. You’ll understand what the work is trying to achieve, help find practical ways to bring ideas to life and protect the quality of the work throughout production.

Some projects will be straightforward and fast-moving. Others will involve multiple shoot days, locations, suppliers, talent and deliverables. In both cases, you'll be the person keeping the project moving, the client confident and the team clear on what needs to happen next.

What you'll be doing

- Owning video productions from confirmed brief through pre-production, shoot, post-production and final delivery.
- Building project scopes, production schedules, timelines and budgets.
- Managing project financials and keeping productions on budget and commercially healthy.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout production.
- Translating briefs and creative ideas into clear, practical production plans.
- Running pre-production including crew, talent, locations, equipment, travel, permits, schedules and call sheets.
- Sourcing, briefing and managing freelance crew, directors, suppliers and production partners.

- Working closely with directors and creatives to find production solutions that protect the idea while working within budget and timing constraints.
- Leading communication between clients, production, creative and post-production teams.
- Anticipating production risks and solving problems before they become bigger issues.
- Overseeing shoot logistics and ensuring production days run smoothly.
- Managing post-production schedules, client feedback, approvals, versioning and final delivery.
- Keeping project documentation, budgets and production systems accurate and up to date.
- Managing multiple productions simultaneously without allowing details to slip.
- Looking for smarter and more efficient ways to produce great work.
- Contributing to the continued improvement of WKV’s production processes, supplier network and ways of working.

What we're looking for

You’re someone who

- Takes ownership. Once a project is yours, you take responsibility for moving it forward and seeing it through.
- Is exceptionally organised. You can keep track of budgets, schedules, people, approvals and dozens of moving parts without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Is client-first. You communicate clearly, build trust and make clients feel that their project is in safe hands.
- Has strong commercial judgement. You understand that great production isn't just about making great work—it also needs to be delivered efficiently and profitably.
- Is calm under pressure. Shoots change, clients change their minds and unexpected problems happen. You stay level-headed and find a way forward.
- Has strong production instincts. You can look at an idea and quickly understand what it will take to make it happen.
- Has good creative judgement. You understand what makes strong work and can contribute constructively without needing to be the creative lead.
- Communicates early. You flag risks, budget pressure or timing issues before they become problems.
- Is resourceful. You enjoy finding solutions, negotiating with suppliers and figuring out how to get the best result from the resources available.
- Is detail-oriented. You care about the small things because you know they affect both the final work and the client experience.
- Is collaborative and low ego. You enjoy working alongside creatives, directors, editors, cinematographers and other producers to make the work better.
- Enjoys improving how things work. You’re interested in better systems, workflows, tools and emerging technology that can make production more effective.

Your experience

Ideally, you’ll have:

- At least 3–5 years of professional production experience within a production company, creative agency, advertising agency or similar environment.
- Experience independently producing video or content projects from brief through to final delivery.
- Solid experience building and managing production budgets and schedules.
- Experience coordinating crews, talent, locations, equipment and suppliers.
- Confidence managing clients and navigating feedback, changing requirements and competing priorities.
- A solid understanding of video production and post-production workflows.
- Experience managing multiple projects at different stages of production simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence using project management, budgeting and production tools.

Experience working across branded content, advertising campaigns, social content and larger-scale commercial productions is highly valued.

A strong network of freelance crew, directors, suppliers and production partners is also a big plus.

Why Join WKV?

- Join a multidisciplinary team of more than 15 people who live and breathe creative production.
- Work across a varied slate of projects for leading Australian and global brands.
- Collaborate directly with experienced directors, creatives, cinematographers, editors and motion artists.
- Work from our Brookvale studio, where production and post sit together under one roof.
- Produce everything from fast-moving social content through to larger campaign productions.
- Have real ownership of your projects and the opportunity to shape how we produce work.
- Be part of an ambitious, evolving company where positive ideas are welcomed regardless of where they come from.
- Work within a culture that values excellent craft, personal growth, collaboration and having fun along the way.
