Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse to join the Broadmeadows Adult Inpatient Unit (BIPU) team.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About Mental Health Division
Northern Health is the third largest mental health service in Victoria Northern.
Within the Mental Health Division, we pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health services to people living in the northern regions of Melbourne, and work in a collaborative way with consumers and carers based on recovery principles.
We aim to provide strong clinical leadership to support all staff in the provision of professional treatment and care by our integrated community teams, inpatient, and residential services.
About the Role
We are seeking Psychiatric Enrolled Nurses (PSENs) to join our acute inpatient mental health team, providing compassionate, person-centred care to adult consumers experiencing a range of complex mental health needs.
Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will contribute to clinical assessment, care and risk management planning, ongoing monitoring, and cooperative multidisciplinary care.
You will also work closely with consumers, families and carers to support safe and effective care.
This is an Fixed Term contract until March 2027 working part time 56 hours per fortnight based within the Adult Inpatient Unit at Broadmeadows Hospital. Successful applicants must be available to work a rotating roster across seven days per week, including morning, afternoon, night and weekend shifts.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Qualification as an Enrolled Nurse, with specialisation qualification in mental health
- Qualification in medication endorsement
- Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated experience working in mental health, specifically Acute Psychiatry Inpatient Services
