About the Role Join our growing Integrated oncology/haematology/radiation service as a Registered Nurse on a permanent part-time basis to educate and support patients undergoing cancer treatment. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will deliver personalised cancer care, supported by a knowledgeable and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence -based comprehensive Oncology/radiation nursing care
- Practice in accordance with the ACQSHC National standards
- Contribute to quality improvements and collaborate with the Quality and Clinical Governance Team to ensure best practice
- Educate and support patients undergoing radiation therapy.
- Administer medications and intravenous infusions, ensuring patient safety and in line with policies and procedures.
- Provide holistic nursing care and high-level patient assessments including pre/post-procedure care.
- Foster a culture of excellence in patient care through collaboration and compassion.
- Maintain accurate patient records and offer emotional support to patients and families.
About You We seek a candidate who embodies our values of compassion, flexibility, and excellence. Your experience in oncology, radiotherapy, IV cannulation, CVAD management, and chemotherapy administration is a requirement. - AHPRA registration and demonstrated experience in oncology nursing.
- Proficiency in high-acuity settings and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in CVAD management and IV cannulation.
