The Forum for Digital Finance & Regulation (FDFR) is an independent research and policy forum.

FDFR undertakes research, comparative analysis and policy dialogue on emerging developments shaping the financial system, with a particular research interest in South Asia and other rapidly evolving financial markets.

FDFR Research & Policy Committee

FDFR is building its Research & Policy Committee and is inviting applications from individuals interested in contributing to research, analysis and discussions on the changing financial system.

This is an opportunity to become part of the FDFR team and contribute to projects at the intersection of finance, technology, law, regulation and public policy.

Who are we looking for?

We welcome applications from both early-career and experienced individuals.

You do not need to be an established researcher or have extensive professional experience. We are particularly interested in people who are curious, willing to learn, able to work with others and interested in understanding how finance and regulation are changing.

Applicants may include

- University students and recent graduates
- Early-career professionals
- Lawyers and legal researchers
- Finance and investment professionals
- Economists and policy researchers
- FinTech and technology professionals
- Compliance and regulatory professionals
- Academics and researchers
- Individuals with an interest in financial policy and regulation

Relevant academic or professional experience is helpful, but demonstrated interest and willingness to contribute are equally important.

Committee members may contribute to projects relating to:
- Digital finance and FinTech
- Financial regulation
- Digital assets and virtual assets
- Artificial intelligence and finance
- Digital payments and lending
- Financial inclusion
- Capital markets and investment
- Data, privacy and cybersecurity
- Financial integrity and AML/CFT
- RegTech
- Comparative and international financial regulation




- Emerging financial technologies and policy

What will Committee Members do?

Depending on their interests and experience, members may contribute to:

- Research projects and publications
- Regulatory and policy analysis
- Comparative research across jurisdictions
- FDFR Insights and commentary
- The FDFR Regulatory Tracker
- Data and research projects
- Background research for policy papers and reports
- FDFR Dialogues and other events
- Research discussions and working groups
- Developing new research topics and projects

Not every member will be expected to do the same thing. We want to build a team with different backgrounds, interests and levels of experience.

Commitment

This is a flexible, project-based role. Members may contribute according to their availability and areas of interest. Specific projects may involve individual research, small working groups or broader FDFR research initiatives.
