Role Description The Restaurant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Lorne, VIC. This role oversees day-to-day restaurant operations, including supervising front-of-house and back-of-house teams, coordinating service, and maintaining high standards of food and beverage quality.
Responsibilities include managing staff schedules, leading and coaching team members, handling customer feedback and service issues, and ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and safe setting.
The Restaurant
Manager monitors costs, supports inventory management, assists with menu and promotion implementation,
and collaborates with leadership to meet revenue and customer satisfaction goals. The role also requires adherence to health and safety regulations and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Service and commitment to Customer Satisfaction.
- Effective Communication skills, with the ability to lead, coach, and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Experience in Hiring, training, and performance management within a hospitality or service environment.
- Solid Food & Beverage knowledge, including service standards, menu understanding, and quality control.
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality management, ideally in a busy, high-volume venue.
- Proven ability to manage rosters, budgets, and basic financial reporting.
- Working knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
