About The Role The Conditions for Learning directorate, within the Schools and preschools division, supports Education Directors and Local Education Teams in integrating and sustaining systems, strategies, and approaches that drive school and preschool improvement The Education Director Support Leader provides advice and support to Education Directors, preschool directors, principals, and other divisions across a range of functions. This role helps sites achieve optimal conditions for learning, allowing them to focus on teaching and learning. This is accomplished through close collaboration with various divisions and system leaders to support schools and preschools.
As an experienced and successful school or preschool leader, the Education Director Support Leader draws on their leadership experience to triage, advise and facilitate timely critical incident resolution in collaboration with other leaders across the department.
Drawing on expertise in educational leadership, strategic data analysis, and effective school and preschool operations, the Education Director Support Leader plays a key role in ensuring optimal site conditions to operationalise the department's Strategy for Public Education.
The Education Director Support Leader is part of a high-performing team of educational leaders, providing timely and accurate advice to Education Directors and site leaders in managing critical, complex, and protracted incidents. They also curate data from these incidents, directorate, and system sources, performing analysis to inform the division's strategic priorities and lead effective reform initiatives across Conditions for Learning to enact statewide in all sites.
Qualifications
Essential: A appropriate tertiary qualification in education or related field.
Desirable: Nil
Special conditions The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care)
Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
S121-5 $165,103 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%)
