Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Functional Consultant with strong New Zealand payroll experience to support payroll operations, system configuration, production support, and ongoing improvements.

The role will primarily focus on New Zealand payroll, while providing the opportunity to support other geographies and payroll processes as required.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors ECP, NZ payroll processes, payroll configuration, testing, issue resolution, and production support.

Purpose of the RoleThe primary purpose of this role is to provide functional support and expertise for SAP SuccessFactors ECP, with a particular focus on New Zealand payroll. The consultant will support payroll operations, resolve functional issues, maintain payroll configuration, assist with testing and releases, and contribute to continuous improvements across the SAP SuccessFactors payroll environment.

Key Responsibilities





- Act as a functional SME for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP), with a strong focus on New Zealand payroll.
- Support end-to-end NZ payroll processing, including payroll preparation, payroll runs, reconciliation, and post-payroll activities.
- Configure and maintain ECP payroll functionality based on business and payroll requirements.
- Analyse and resolve payroll issues, including configuration, master data, payroll processing, and integration-related issues.
- Support payroll teams during critical payroll processing and finalisation periods.
- Work closely with HR, Payroll, IT, integration, and technical teams to resolve issues and deliver payroll solutions.
- Support payroll testing, including unit testing, regression testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Assist with SAP SuccessFactors releases, upgrades, enhancements, and change initiatives.
- Support payroll-related integrations between Employee Central, ECP, and other HR/payroll systems.
- Investigate payroll discrepancies and assist with reconciliation and data validation.
- Ensure payroll solutions align with New Zealand payroll legislation, business requirements, and organisational policies.
- Prepare functional documentation,



process documentation, configuration documentation, and test cases.
- Participate in incident, problem, change, and release management processes.
- Work with global payroll teams and provide functional support for other countries where required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and optimisation of payroll processes and ECP functionality.

Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
- Proven New Zealand payroll experience in an SAP/SAP SuccessFactors environment.
- Strong understanding of NZ payroll processes, statutory requirements, deductions, leave, taxation, and payroll compliance.
- Experience with ECP functional configuration and customisation.
- Experience supporting production payroll environments and resolving functional payroll issues.
- Experience with payroll processing, reconciliation, payroll controls, and data validation.
- Robust understanding of the integration between SuccessFactors Employee Central and ECP.
- Experience working with HR and payroll stakeholders to analyse requirements and translate them into ECP solutions.
- Experience in payroll testing, defect management, and release/change activities.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of SAP payroll concepts and payroll configuration.
- Experience working within ITIL, Agile, DevOps, or similar operational frameworks.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
