We are currently seeking an experienced Coded Welder to join a leading Australian engineering and manufacturing business delivering complex projects across the Defence, infrastructure and industrial sectors.

About the Role
Working as part of an experienced fabrication team, you will be responsible for high-quality welding and fabrication across a range of complex engineering projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Performing high-quality welding across multiple processes and procedures.
Working in accordance with approved welding procedures, specifications and quality standards.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, weld maps and technical specifications.
Completing structural and complex fabrication work.
Conducting visual inspections and ensuring weld quality and dimensional accuracy.
Working with carbon steel, stainless steel and other materials as required.
Maintaining a safe, clean and productive work environment.
Working collaboratively with tradespeople, supervisors and project teams.
Ensuring all work meets required safety, quality and environmental standards.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A recognised Welding Trade Qualification.
Demonstrated experience working as a Coded Welder.
Current and relevant welding qualifications/codings across multiple procedures.
Strong experience with multiple welding processes, including MIG/MAG, TIG, FCAW and/or MMA.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications.
A strong understanding of welding procedures, tolerances and quality requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Previous experience within Defence, heavy engineering, structural fabrication or complex manufacturing will be highly regarded.
