The Application Developer – Digital Portfolio Systems and Delivery at the Department of Communities and Justice works on OutSystems applications used to improve business processes. Describe the most complex OutSystems application you have developed or maintained. In your response, include Project size and duration, team size, your responsibilities. Key technical challenges faced, how you resolved them and outcomes achieved. State the project’s duration and team size before explaining your responsibility. Describe a specific design or integration problem, the options you considered, your solution and the result. Include release or production evidence where it supports the outcome.

Outline your experience in providing administration, technical support, and configuration management of core business systems. What strategies do you have to ensure that you are adept across a wide range of systems and technologies? Use an example of a business system you supported or configured. Explain how you diagnosed incidents, controlled configuration changes and kept services available, then show how documentation, practice or professional development helped you work across technologies.

Eligibility and essential role requirements





- Qualifications in Information Science/Technology or experience relevant to the role, together with demonstrated continuing professional development.

The qualification has an experience alternative. Explain which pathway you meet and support it with relevant work and continuing development. Fluency in at least one programming language is a stated requirement, with Java preferred.

Release tools and reliable support Connect OutSystems Lifetime, version control or CI/CD work with controlled releases and how you handled a production incident.

Interpreting requirements and balancing delivery priorities Explain how you worked with stakeholders across applications or projects and agreed what could be delivered within the available time.

Programming-language fluency and continued development Name the language you can use fluently and illustrate it with delivery work. Java is preferred; explain how you maintain your technical skills.
