About the Employer

Our client is an infrastructure engineering and construction contractor delivering transport, civil and energy projects. Its teams work across design, construction and project delivery in Australia.

The Opportunity

Bring environmental expertise into national infrastructure and clean-energy bids from a Melbourne office base. You will work with bid managers, estimators and engineering teams during expressions of interest, tendering and early contractor involvement, helping proposals address approvals, sustainability and environmental risk.

Your Responsibilities

- Develop environmental and sustainability strategies for civil, transport and energy tender submissions.
- Review approval conditions, environmental impact statements and client requirements to identify constraints and opportunities.
- Write clear bid methodologies and environmental risk mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with commercial, estimating and engineering teams so environmental considerations are reflected in costs and schedules.
- Integrate carbon reduction and infrastructure sustainability rating frameworks into proposed designs and delivery approaches.
- Explain environmental capability in client workshops, interactive tender discussions and presentations.





Requirements

Skills, Education and Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in environmental science, engineering, planning, sustainability or a related discipline.
- At least five years as an Environmental Advisor, including substantial pre-contract, tendering or front-end infrastructure experience.
- Sound knowledge of environmental legislation, statutory approvals and regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to write persuasive technical tender content in clear language.
- Solid communication and relationships with bid teams and clients.
