Role Description The Senior Engineer will design, build, and maintain high-quality software and systems that support client products, data platforms, and core business operations and involves close collaboration with product managers, designers, architects, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading engineering design and implementation, reviewing code, improving system performance and reliability, and guiding teams in modern engineering practices.

The Senior

Engineer will contribute to solution architecture, mentor less experienced engineers, and support delivery across areas such as Data and AI, digital products, and core systems. The role also includes participating in technical decision-making, ensuring best practices in security and quality,



and supporting continuous improvement of engineering processes. This full-time role can be based either in Sydney, NSW or remote depending on working rights, however we are not able to sponsor visa applicants at this time.

Qualifications

- Strong software engineering skills, with experience in designing, developing, and maintaining production systems using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Proficiency in system architecture and design, including scalable distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and integration with existing enterprise platforms.
- Experience with data engineering, analytics, or AI/ML platforms, including working with data pipelines, cloud data services, or machine learning workflows.
- Background in cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, such as containerization, CI/CD, observability, and automated testing in environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate complex technical concepts clearly, and engage directly with clients or business stakeholders.
- Track record of technical leadership, mentoring engineers, setting engineering standards, and contributing to solution and platform strategy.
- Experience in modernizing legacy systems, improving operational reliability, or delivering large-scale digital transformation initiatives is highly valued.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to quality.
