28Watt is a fintech currently focused on renewable energy. Our digital platform matches homeowners with the lowest rate loan for their renewable energy purchase, then gets them the funds, quick. Homeowners come to us through our network of over 1,000 solar and battery sales reps.
The role
You'll own how installers and homeowners experience 28Watt. The customer application flow comes first, then the installer partner portal.
You'll work closely with our Lead Product Engineer and report to Jake Havey, COO and co-founder.
What you'll do
- Talk to installers and homeowners to understand where they get stuck
- Redesign the installer portal and application flow so more customers get to approval
- Prototype fast in Figma and AI tools, and test before we build
- Work with engineers through to launch, then measure completion and drop-off
- Build a design system that keeps the portal, application and website consistent
What you'll bring
- 4+ years in product or UX design, shipping web products
- A portfolio with complex, form-heavy flows
- Fintech experience preferred (not essential)
- You love AI and use the latest tools to design, prototype and test faster
- Comfortable working directly with engineers and the founders
