About Zerra DC

Zerra DC's flexible campus developments support hyperscale and neocloud organisations, enabling some of the world's fastest-scaling technology businesses to grow with certainty and ambition.

Zerra DC is part of AGP, an independently owned investor and asset manager that develops and operates real assets across the energy, digital and real estate sectors.

Western Downs Digital Park

Western Downs Digital Park is a major new hyperscale data centre campus in Queensland’s Western Downs. Planned across multiple delivery phases, WDDP brings together AI-ready data centres, energy infrastructure and a purpose-built campus environment to support the continued growth of cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

The role The Senior Project Accountant will take day-to-day responsibility for the financial control, reporting and compliance of Western Downs Digital Park. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will review project financial information, maintain strong accounting discipline and provide accurate, timely reporting as WDDP moves through financial close and active delivery.

Based in Brisbane and working closely with the project team, this is a hands-on role for a finance professional who understands complex development expenditure and can connect detailed accounting with the needs of project leadership. You will oversee core project accounting activities, support the development of local finance processes and maintain clear visibility of project spend, commitments, cash requirements and financial risk.

What you will lead

- Day-to-day financial control and reporting for WDDP, ensuring project information is accurate, complete and delivered on time.
- Review of project accounting outputs, reconciliations, accruals, journals and supporting schedules prepared by the Project Accountant and other finance contributors.
- Month-end and quarter-end close activities for the relevant Australian project entities.
- Project reporting covering actual expenditure, commitments, budget variances, cash requirements and forecast cost movements.
- Cost coding, approval controls and supporting documentation across development, construction and enabling works expenditure.
- GST, BAS, bank reconciliation and routine Australian compliance requirements, working with internal and external advisers where required.
- Rolling cash-flow forecasts, funding requests and project drawdown information for review by the Finance Manager.
- Finance partnering with Development, Construction, Commercial, Project Controls and Procurement teams to resolve queries and improve project information.
- Audit, tax and statutory reporting support, backed by reliable records and responsive information management.
- Practical finance processes, reporting templates and systems that can scale as WDDP progresses through delivery and into operations.

What you will bring

You will be an experienced project accountant who combines strong technical discipline with a practical understanding of how major developments are delivered. You will be comfortable operating close to the project,

challenging incomplete information and turning detailed financial data into practical insight for decision-makers.

- At least five years of progressive accounting or finance experience in property development, infrastructure, construction, energy or another capital-intensive project environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing or reviewing project accounting, financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, accruals and statutory compliance.
- Experience monitoring large project budgets, expenditure, commitments, cash flow and forecast movements through active delivery.
- Sound knowledge of Australian GST, BAS and financial reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical and Excel capability, with experience using accounting systems and improving finance processes or reporting tools.
- The ability to work effectively with project managers, commercial teams, cost controllers, procurement teams and non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgement and the confidence to challenge incomplete or inconsistent financial information.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline, with CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent qualification completed or in progress.
- Experience with major real estate developments, logistics, data centres, complex project entities or consortium environments will be highly regarded.

The opportunity

You will join WDDP as it moves into active delivery, giving you the opportunity to establish strong project-accounting disciplines from an early stage. Your work will provide project leaders with the financial visibility needed to manage a complex, multi-year development and will help shape a finance function designed to grow with the campus.
