About the Role
Based at our Kwinana operations, Altrad is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – Fabrication to lead the delivery of upcoming subsea fabrication projects.
This is a senior leadership opportunity with responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of complex fabrication scopes, from project planning and mobilisation through execution and completion. You will provide leadership across project teams, engineering, commercial performance, contractors and suppliers, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality and technical standards.
With a strong focus on subsea structures and spool fabrication, the role requires a Project Manager who can combine technical knowledge with strong commercial awareness and effective stakeholder management to drive project performance, manage risk and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
As Senior Project Manager, you will play a key leadership role overseeing all aspects of project delivery, including:
- Coordinate analysis and reporting of project performance, implementing strategies to improve outputs and meet project goals.
- Ensures contract compliance, allocate resources effectively, and maintain positive performance throughout the project lifecycle, in line with budget and timelines.
- Develops project strategies with internal stakeholders,
aligning business initiatives with overall project objectives and company goals.
- Oversees recruitment, onboarding, and development of project personnel, ensuring a skilled and cohesive team.
- Manages external contractors and suppliers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and addressing any performance issues.
- Provides technical oversight and support, ensuring engineering deliverables meet quality, cost, and timeline requirements.
- Identify opportunities for project optimization and risk mitigation, offering proposals for continuous improvement.
About you
You are an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background delivering complex fabrication and construction projects, ideally within the subsea sector. A confident leader with strong commercial and technical capability, you bring a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders while maintaining a clear focus on safety, quality, schedule and commercial outcomes.
You will also bring
- A proven track record and experience in fabrication / construction of subsea structures / spools with experience managing contracts above $10m+
- Experience and understanding of specialized welding to ASME / DNV welding codes.
- Sound knowledge of industry and best-practice standards and their relevance to the project.
- Strong leadership and seasoned people management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general office software.
