Role Description The Short Term Production Coordinator is a full-time role based in Sydney, NSW, with a hybrid working arrangement that allows some work from home. This role supports VFX producers and supervisors in coordinating day-to-day production activities, including scheduling, tracking tasks, and maintaining project documentation.
The Production
Coordinator will liaise with artists and clients to facilitate explicit communication, organize reviews, and ensure that deliverables meet agreed timelines and quality standards. Daily responsibilities include updating production databases, preparing status reports, managing shot and asset lists, and anticipating workflow issues to help keep projects on track.
The role also involves assisting with resource planning, coordinating cross-studio collaboration, and contributing to a positive, efficient production environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate with artists, producers, and clients.
- Candidates should possess production planning skills, such as scheduling tasks, organizing timelines, and coordinating resources across multiple projects.
- Candidates should possess production management skills, including tracking progress, maintaining documentation, and supporting VFX workflows and delivery requirements.
- Candidates should possess project management skills, such as prioritizing tasks, monitoring deadlines, and proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Candidates should possess solid organization skills, including attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Relevant experience in film, television, animation, or VFX production environments is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with production tracking tools and software (e.g., Shotgun/ShotGrid or similar) and basic understanding of VFX pipelines is an advantage.
- A qualification in film production, media, animation, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
