Virtù Fencing Club is a modern sabre fencing organisation focused on developing athletes in sabre through high-quality coaching and structured training programs. Based in the Greater Sydney Area, the club supports a diverse community of beginners and experienced fencers, offering regular classes, competitions, and events. Virtù emphasises a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where participants can build confidence, discipline, and technical skill.

The club is committed to growing the sport of fencing locally by engaging with schools, community groups, and regional competitions. We work with athletes from beginners through to national and international-level competition, with a strong focus on performance, athlete development and a goal to take athletes to Brisbane 2032. As the club expands, it is investing in stronger brand presence and digital outreach to reach new members and supporters.

Role Description: The Social Media Content Creator / Marketing Intern will support Virtù Fencing Club’s digital presence and community engagement in a role located in the Artarmon area. Tasks include creating and scheduling social media content, capturing photos and short videos from training sessions and events, and writing engaging captions tailored to sabre fencing audiences. The intern will help plan and execute basic media campaigns, monitor social media performance, and report on engagement metrics.

The role also involves collaborating with coaches and staff to promote classes, competitions, and special events, and ensuring that all content reflects the club’s values and brand guidelines. This position offers practical experience in sports marketing, digital media, and content creation within a dynamic, athlete-focused environment.

We're looking for someone who understands short-form content, social media trends and what makes people stop scrolling.





- You'll help us create content for Instagram, TikTok and other social platforms, including:Shooting video at training sessions, competitions and events
- Editing Reels, TikToks and other short-form content
- Finding and adapting current social media trends
- Coming up with creative content ideas and campaigns
- Helping develop Virtu's social media presence and brand
- Experimenting with ways to increase reach and engagement
- Capturing the energy, personalities and competitive side of sabre fencing

This isn't simply a role where you'll be asked to schedule posts. We want your ideas and creativity.

We're looking for someone who:

- Is based in Sydney
- Has a positive understanding of Instagram, TikTok and social media
- Has experience creating short-form video content
- Understands current social media trends
- Is creative, proactive and willing to experiment
- Can shoot and edit content independently
- Is comfortable filming around athletes and training environments
- Can attend evening training sessions and occasional local competitions
- Has examples of previous content they have created

Experience with CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Canva or similar tools is a bonus.
